Hi friends! Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by.
A little bit about me…
I’m a student ministries pastor living in Southern California. I work at Downey First Christian Church, which is located in Southeast Los Angeles. Every week I get the chance to hang out with young people which, I thoroughly believe, is joyous living at its best. Youth ministry is and continues to be an ocean of grace that I sink in every week.
I’m married to my best friend, Marissa, and we’re having an absolute blast doing life together. We love to travel, drink good coffee, and discover new adventures.
I am a graduate of Hope International University–BA in Biblical Studies (2007) and MA in Christian Leadership (2011). I split my time between my church, missions, teaching, speaking, and writing.
Speaking of writing, I mainly blog about ministry and my own random musings on this beautifully mysterious, sacred and joyous, constantly-confusing-yet-evocatively-enlightening gift we call life. However, I’m also interested in jotting down fiction and pursuing that elusive Great American Novel.
Other things I like in no particular order: movies, basketball, free weights, free-styling, free books, surfing, podcasts, modern banjo sounds, bacon, hiking, and really good stories.
Thanks again for stopping by. Grace and Peace, my friends.
